The Recreation Committee is comprised of Association Staff who help to co-ordinate and supervise community based recreational activities.
The committee works together to plan a variety of fun activities/events throughout the year. In addition, holding annual fundraising events which help to subsidize the cost of some of the activities.
Who can attend?
Individuals 18 years of age or older with an intellectual disability attending our day programs or who live in our residential homes or at home with their family can participate.
When do the activities happen?
The activities are usually planned to happen in the evenings and on weekends. They are planned in the Elmira and the Waterloo Region area primarily. Trips out of the area to Toronto and surrounding communities are coordinated less frequently during the course of the year.
