The Developmental Services Planning and Advisory Council of Waterloo Region received funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services through the mental health investments initiative. The EMS (emergency medical services) toolkit is to support first responders and emergency departments when they are faced with someone in crisis. This is an opportunity to link or reconnect developmental services into the life of a person in crisis and assist with discharge and service planning.
